The intervention helps visitors connect with the site without getting lost in the chaotic and often ambiguous information they perceive in the natural setting. This is achieved by being aware of how the hydraulic engineering infrastructure re-creates the site from former farmland with channelization to a nature reserve and how the resulting seasonal flooding has led to the proliferation of invasive plants across the river plain, requiring years of labor maintenance to fight against.
