An installation pays homage to the ever-lighting place in Skid Row in the dark.

Material: Cardboard, LED Light, Circuit Board

Real-time Interaction
In my tribute to Lucy Stallworth, I want to pay homage to the ever-lighting place in Skid Row in the dark. A place that has held the Karaoke Coffee Club every Wednesday night since 1997. A place that dissolved the margins of the community through a moment of leisure
My tribute to Lucy Stallworth tries to visualize people's emotions about the karaoke club through their interaction with the installation. Unhoused people are living a life that might be out of control and moving back and forth. But this place reminds people that they are still being cared for. This is a place where people connect.
The warm light spills out from the building, representing how music flows on the street. The color of light would change in response to the user's emotion, which is detected by the temperature sensor.
Whether you are back or forth, the light is always on. Although in the dark, you can still see you are connected with the place that listens to your heart.
